Aging Mouse Brain Atlas — Gene Expression Across the Lifespan

📁 Dataset Info

Multi-study atlas of gene expression changes in the aging mouse brain, spanning 3 to 24 months of age across multiple brain regions. Combines bulk RNA-seq from the Tabula Muris Senis (Allen Institute collaborating institution), spatial transcriptomics (10X Visium) across young/middle-age/old mice, and brain metabolomics. Covers key cell types — microglia, astrocytes, excitatory and inhibitory neurons — with differential expression data (log fold change, adjusted p-value) for aging vs. young comparisons. Supports analyses of neurodegeneration-relevant aging mechanisms including microglial activation, complement-mediated synaptic loss, and astrocyte reactivity. Directly cross-referenced with human AD datasets.
