Frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) represents a spectrum of neurodegenerative disorders characterized by progressive atrophy of the frontal and temporal lobes, leading to significant declines in personality, behavior, and language function[@rascovsky2011]. Unlike Alzheimer's disease, which primarily affects memory early in the disease course, FTLD typically presents with prominent changes in conduct, speech production, or semantic knowledge[@neary1998]. The condition accounts for approximately 10-20% of all dementia cases, making it the second most common cause of early-onset dementia after Alzheimer's disease[@hogan2016].
