Hypothalamic Nesfatin-1 Neurons are specialized neurons in the hypothalamus that produce and release nesfatin-1, a satiety-inducing peptide derived from the precursor protein nucleobindin 2 (NUCB2). These neurons play critical roles in regulating feeding behavior, metabolism, glucose homeostasis, and have emerging connections to neurodegenerative disease processes. [@nesfatin2019]
