VIPRA1 neurons express the Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Receptor 1 (VPAC1), a G protein-coupled receptor that binds both Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) and Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Polypeptide (PACAP).
