CDNF (Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor) is a secreted neurotrophic protein that promotes the survival, function, and regeneration of dopaminergic neurons. Discovered in 2007, CDNF belongs to the MANF/CDNF family of neurotrophic factors, which are structurally and functionally distinct from the GDNF family.
