DUSP2 (Dual Specificity Phosphatase 2), also known as PAC1, is a member of the dual-specificity phosphatase family that dephosphorylates both tyrosine and threonine residues on MAP kinases. It plays a critical role in regulating MAPK signaling pathways, which are central to cellular stress responses, inflammation, and neuronal survival. DUSP2 is primarily expressed in immune cells and has been increasingly studied for its role in neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative processes [1][2]. [@theodosiou2006]
