Overview

The RHOA gene (Ras Homolog Family Member A) encodes a small GTP-binding protein that functions as a molecular switch, cycling between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state. RhoA is a founding member of the Rho family of GTPases, which includes Rac1, Cdc42, and over 20 other members in humans [1](https://doi.org/10.1016/j.neuroscience.2020.01.001).
