RORA (Retinoic Acid Receptor-Related Orphan Receptor Alpha) is a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily that functions as a transcriptional activator in the circadian clock machinery. Beyond its well-established role in circadian rhythm regulation, RORA plays critical roles in cerebellar development, metabolic regulation, and has emerged as an important player in neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis.
