Overview

TFEB (Transcription Factor EB) is a member of the MITF/TFE family of transcription factors and serves as a master regulator of lysosomal biogenesis and [autophagy](/entities/autophagy). TFEB controls the cellular degradative capacity by coordinating the expression of genes involved in autophagy, lysosomal function, and lipid metabolism.
