TLR1 (Toll-Like Receptor 1) encodes a pattern recognition receptor that plays a critical role in innate immunity. TLR1 forms heterodimers with TLR2 to recognize bacterial lipoproteins and lipoteichoic acid, initiating inflammatory signaling cascades.
