Alpha-Actinin-1 (ACTN1) is a member of the alpha-actinin family of actin-crosslinking proteins that plays essential roles in cytoskeletal organization, cell motility, and mechanical stability. As a homodimeric bundling protein, ACTN1 crosslinks parallel actin filaments to form stable stress fibers, membrane-associated networks, and specialized structures in muscle and neuronal cells.
