CCND1 Protein (Cyclin D1)

Overview

Cyclin D1 (CCND1) is a regulatory subunit of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) that controls the G1/S phase transition of the cell cycle. While primarily studied in cancer biology, Cyclin D1 has emerged as an important player in neuronal cell cycle dysregulation observed in neurodegenerative diseases. [@cell2019]
