Overview

NLRC3 (NLR family CARD domain containing 3) is a member of the NOD-like receptor (NLR) protein family that functions as a negative regulator of innate immune responses. While most NLR proteins promote inflammation through inflammasome formation, NLRC3 acts primarily as an inhibitory regulator, making it particularly relevant to chronic neuroinflammatory conditions in neurodegenerative diseases[@conti2021].
