PTPRG (Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Gamma) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase that functions as a tumor suppressor and regulates neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and cell-cell interactions.

Overview

PTPRG (also known as PTPγ) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family that plays important roles in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and signal transduction. As a receptor-type phosphatase, PTPRG has an extracellular domain, transmembrane region, and intracellular catalytic domain that dephosphorylates target proteins. In the nervous system, PTPRG regulates neuronal migration, axon guidance, and synaptic function. [@wang2021]
