Overview

PUNDC1 (p53DINP1) is a mitochondria-associated protein that modulates p53 activity and [apoptosis](/entities/apoptosis). It interacts with p53 family members and enhances their transcriptional activity. PUNDC1 also localizes to mitochondria where it may influence apoptosis regulation. The protein contains an N-terminal coiled-coil domain and a C-terminal domain with apoptotic activity.

Structure

The PUNDC1 Protein (PUNDC1) has the following structural features:

  • Domain architecture: P53DINP Family domain organization
  • Key motifs: DNA-binding domains, catalytic residues
  • Post-translational modifications: Phosphorylation, ubiquitination, SUMOylation
