Abstract

Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) phosphatases [MKPs, also known as dual-specificity phosphatases (DUSPs)] regulate MAPKs -key mediators of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival- by dephosphorylating the threonine and tyrosine residues required for MAPK activation.
