Up‐regulation of Chemerin/ChemR23 was correlated with TGF‐β1 in renal cortex of human samples. A, Expression of α‐SMA, TGF‐β1, chemerin and ChemR23 in renal cortex of DN (n = 9) and control (n = 10) samples was detected by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. B, QRT‐PCR was used to detect the mRNA levels of chemerin, ChemR23 and TGF‐β1 in renal cortex in patient samples. GAPDH was used as an internal control. Expression was normalized to the mean value in the control group. * P  < 0.05 vs control.
