B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is the most common hematopoietic malignancy in the United States, with a notably higher incidence and aggressiveness observed in individuals infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), leading to AIDS-associated NHL (AIDS-NHL).
