SYNPO2 (Synaptopodin 2), also known as myopodin, is a member of the synaptopodin family of actin-binding proteins. While SYNPO (synaptopodin) is primarily known for its role in dendritic spine apparatus formation, SYNPO2 has distinct functions in cytoskeletal organization, synaptic plasticity, and muscle physiology.
