Generation and analysis of muscle-specific Tug (Aspscr1) knockout mice to investigate the role of TUG cleavage in glucose uptake and energy expenditure. The study examined how loss of TUG affects GLUT4 translocation, glucose uptake in muscle, and whole-body metabolic parameters including thermogenesis and lipid oxidation.
