Abstract

The Ras-GTPase activating protein (SH3 domain)-binding protein 1 (G3BP1) is an RNA-binding protein involved in mammalian cellular stress responses and antiviral immunity, playing a central role in stress granule (SG) assembly. However, its function in lower vertebrates remains poorly understood. In this study, we cloned and characterized G3BP1 from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), designated OmG3BP1, and investigated its role during infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV) infection.
