The role of poly ADP ribose polymerase inhibitors in ovarian cancer is rapidly evolving. Three different poly ADP ribose polymerase inhibitors (olaparib, niraparib and rucaparib) have been already approved as maintenance after response to platinum-based chemotherapy; two of them (olaparib and rucaparib) also as single agents.
