METHODOLOGY NOTES
Phase 1 (Months 1-6): Recruit 50 PD patients and 25 age-matched controls. Collect CSF and plasma samples via standardized protocols. Extract postmortem substantia nigra tissue from 20 PD cases and 15 controls from brain banks. Phase 2 (Months 7-12): Perform immunofluorescence staining for stress granule markers (G3BP1, TIA1, PABP1) and alpha-synuclein in tissue sections using confocal microscopy.
